STUFF I LEARNED THIS CHRISTMAS

1. Peanut Brittle breaks teeth!

2. 70 years old is too old to be doing swan dives onto the concrete!

3. Words meant to be 'helpful' sound 'hateful to those hearing them.  Don't speak them!  Ever!

4. Painful memories buried for years can and will come back with enough force to buckle your knees.

5. Your relationships with people are the most important things.  Do all you can to keep them positive!

6. The thought and feeling behind the gift is the important thing -- not the gift itself.

7. Cherish health and life. Be thankful for it every moment. It can be gone in a second.

8. People are good.  They do want to be of help.

Thanksgiving. . . gone?

I see that all the big stores are going to open at MIDNIGHT on Thanksgiving for their Black-Friday celebration.
Folks are going to have to start Thanksgiving Dinner Tail-gate parties to be first in line!
Let's see - Folks will have to be able to watch their football games, so they will need to bring their big screen TV's and a generator, and their big deep fryer for the Thanksgiving turkey, and all the fixin's -- plus all the brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandfolks, friends . . .

BEWILDERMENT

My neighbor was standing at the end of her driveway, holding an orange cat, and looking a little bewildered.
“Is this your cat?” she called.
“I don’t have a cat,” I called back.
“Do you know who it belongs to?” she called.
“No, but I’ve seen it around,” I answered.
“Well, this looks like my cat,” she said. “And I can’t find mine in the house. But I don’t know if this is my cat or not.”
